Position Summary

Mitigation Manager - RestoPros® | Water, Mold, and Environmental Restoration
Leadership  Quality  Accountability  White-Glove Service

Position Overview

The Mitigation Manager  is responsible for leading and developing the mitigation team, ensuring high-quality, IICRC-aligned restoration work, and driving operational excellence across all water, mold, and emergency-response projects. This role combines leadership, field oversight, documentation quality control, customer communication, and coordination with estimators, adjusters, and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, train, and mentor Lead Technicians, Technicians, and Helpers
  • Conduct ride-alongs, performance check-ins, and skills coaching
  • Ensure team compliance with IICRC S500/S520 standards and RestoPros SOPs
  • Manage on-call schedule and ensure proper coverage for 24/7 emergency response
  • Support a positive, professional, and accountability-driven team culture

Job Oversight & Quality Control

  • Perform job-site inspections, moisture mapping reviews, and equipment checks
  • Perform supervisory role on site when applicable
  • Ensure proper containment, demolition, drying strategies, and remediation steps
  • Approve equipment calculations and oversee daily monitoring documentation
  • Verify that all work meets RestoPros quality, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Address customer concerns or escalations promptly and professionally

Documentation & Compliance

  • Review and approve job photos, moisture readings, logs, and work authorizations
  • Ensure files are complete and compliant for insurance and internal audits
  • Work with the Admin/Collections team to ensure timely billing and uploads
  • Maintain consistency with company digital platforms (Xactimate, Restoration Manager, etc.)
  • Ensure technicians complete required documentation in real time
  • Complete sketches (Xactimate Sketch) to support detailed estimates
  • Submit estimates to INS entities and work through any adjuster negotiations with justifications per IICRC guidelines and the S500- ensure documentation is appropriately provided

Operations & Scheduling

  • Assign jobs, route technicians, and ensure efficient daily scheduling
  • Communicate job scope, expectations, and timelines clearly to the team
  • Maintain equipment inventory, cleanliness, and readiness
  • Coordinate with Estimators and Project Managers on job transitions
  • Track job progress and proactively remove bottlenecks

Customer & Insurance Communication

  • Serve as a primary point of contact during active mitigation jobs
  • Walk customers through the mitigation process, timelines, and expectations
  • Communicate updates with insurance adjusters as necessary
  • Represent RestoPros with professionalism, empathy, and white-glove service

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Monitor key KPIs including cycle time, documentation completeness, equipment days, and customer satisfaction
  • Prepare weekly updates for ownership/leadership
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement operational enhancements
  • Maintain safety standards and oversee PPE, containment practices, and job-site protocols

Qualifications

  • 2–4+ years in mitigation or remediation, including leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of water damage mitigation, mold remediation, and drying science
  • IICRC certifications strongly preferred (WRT required; ASD/AMRT/HST ideal)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills
  • Ability to motivate teams in a fast-paced, emergency-driven environment
  • Proficient in Xactimate, Restoration Manager, CRM systems, or similar platforms
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work in various environments (attics, crawl spaces, etc.)
