Job Summary:
Join our thriving logistics and distribution center in Baltimore, Maryland as a Forklift Operator. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, store, and retrieve inventory with speed and accuracy. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by properly stacking, labeling, and moving stock.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including the correct use of required PPE.
  • Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly to prevent accidents.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and clutter-free warehouse environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, which may include manual lifting.
  • Understand and implement best practices in warehouse logistics.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience operating forklifts is essential.
  • Certification or demonstrated proficiency in forklift operation.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
  • Physical ability to handle tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts and overtime when necessary.
