You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, store, and retrieve inventory with speed and accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and security.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by properly stacking, labeling, and moving stock.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including the correct use of required PPE.
- Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly to prevent accidents.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and clutter-free warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, which may include manual lifting.
- Understand and implement best practices in warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts is essential.
- Certification or demonstrated proficiency in forklift operation.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Physical ability to handle tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work varied shifts and overtime when necessary.
