Are you a certified Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Chicago, Illinois? We are seeking skilled individuals to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently within our warehouse. Your role will be critical in moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. This position demands precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials.
- Loading and unloading trailers and containers.
- Transporting materials to and from storage areas and production sites.
- Stacking and retrieving inventory accurately.
- Performing routine checks and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Adhering strictly to all safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Assisting with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to safety and accident prevention.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
