Overview

The Event Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of assigned events from move-in through event days and move-out, ensuring seamless coordination across all operational departments. This role serves as the primary on-site operational lead, working closely with internal teams, vendors, clients, and venue partners to ensure events are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest service standard. The Event Manager plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence, ensuring staffing alignment, resolving issues in real time, and delivering exceptional client and guest experiences. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment requiring strong leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.

This is a seasonal role that will start May 4, 2026 and will end on August 1, 2026

This role pays an hourly rate of $30.00 CAD

This position will remain open until May 29, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and execution of assigned events from pre-planning through completion
  • Review event details, floor plans, schedules, and operational requirements
  • Coordinate with catering, concessions, retail, and operations teams to ensure readiness
  • Ensure all event logistics align with timelines and operational plans

Event Execution

  • Act as on-site operational lead during move-in, event days, and move-out
  • Monitor event operations to ensure service standards and operational efficiency
  • Coordinate staffing coverage and ensure teams are properly deployed
  • Ensure all event spaces are fully operational and presentation standards are met
  • Address and resolve operational issues, client requests, and guest concerns promptly
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in event management, venue operations, hospitality, or related field
  • Experience supporting large-scale events, trade shows, or conferences preferred
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings,
