OverviewThe Event Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of assigned events from move-in through event days and move-out, ensuring seamless coordination across all operational departments. This role serves as the primary on-site operational lead, working closely with internal teams, vendors, clients, and venue partners to ensure events are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest service standard. The Event Manager plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence, ensuring staffing alignment, resolving issues in real time, and delivering exceptional client and guest experiences. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment requiring strong leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.
This is a seasonal role that will start May 4, 2026 and will end on August 1, 2026
This role pays an hourly rate of $30.00 CAD
This position will remain open until May 29, 2026.
Responsibilities- Support the planning and execution of assigned events from pre-planning through completion
- Review event details, floor plans, schedules, and operational requirements
- Coordinate with catering, concessions, retail, and operations teams to ensure readiness
- Ensure all event logistics align with timelines and operational plans
Event Execution
- Act as on-site operational lead during move-in, event days, and move-out
- Monitor event operations to ensure service standards and operational efficiency
- Coordinate staffing coverage and ensure teams are properly deployed
- Ensure all event spaces are fully operational and presentation standards are met
- Address and resolve operational issues, client requests, and guest concerns promptly
- 3+ years of experience in event management, venue operations, hospitality, or related field
- Experience supporting large-scale events, trade shows, or conferences preferred
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings,
