Job Summary:
Join our dynamic logistics team as a Material Handler in the heart of Washington, D.C.! We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious individual to manage the flow of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials efficiently. This includes operating forklifts and other equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring that inventory is accurately tracked and organized. A strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence is essential. We provide comprehensive training, including instruction on safe lifting techniques, and all necessary PPE to ensure your well-being. Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Move materials to and from designated storage areas.
  • Receive, identify, and document materials accurately.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, ensuring proper placement and accessibility.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any issues.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid forklift certification and proven experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Excellent safety record and awareness.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
Your meticulous attention to detail and dedication to safe practices, including proper lifting and the consistent use of PPE, are crucial for this role and our overall logistics success.
