We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Retail Manager to oversee daily operations of our Home Health Care & Mobility department. The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals, drive sales performance, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain compliance with applicable health, safety, and retail standards.
This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a hands-on retail environment and is passionate about supporting customers with health and mobility needs.
Position Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day store operations, including sales, staffing, scheduling, and inventory management
Lead, coach, and develop retail staff to deliver outstanding customer service
Ensure a respectful, empathetic, and solutions-focused experience for customers while driving sales performance
Maintain product knowledge related to mobility aids, home health care equipment, ostomy, bracing, compression, wound care, mastectomy products, assistive devices and more.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and applicable Ontario laws and regulations
Perform a variety of administrative functions including maintaining customer files, generating reports, completing funding applications, responding to emails, etc
Manage vendor relationships, product ordering, and merchandising standards
Handle escalated customer concerns professionally and effectively
Monitor store KPIs and prepare reports as required
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
3+ years of retail management experience (home health care, pharmacy, medical supplies, or mobility retail considered a strong asset)
Post-secondary education in business, retail management, or related field is an asset
Proven leadership and team management skills
Strong customer service and communication abilities
Experience with inventory control, scheduling, and sales reporting
Knowledge of assistive devices, mobility equipment, and home health care products is an asset
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the work day, ability to lift up to 25 lbs, frequent bending, reaching, crouching, and kneeling
Manual dexterity to operate POS, computer, phone, and other standard retail equipment
