Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Superintendents/Foreman to assist with the schedule and procurement of job materials.
- Review submittals and create and log Request for Information (RFI) documents. Track all RFIs and follow up on a weekly basis.
- Assist the Project Manager in tracking project costs and maintaining cost reports.
- Generate and process billings for owners and subcontractors.
- Track change orders and ensure proper documentation and implementation.
- Support the Project Manager in coordinating material deliveries to the project site.
- Assist in overall project coordination and communication with stakeholders.
- Ensure that all field safety compliance requirements have been submitted and are being followed.
- Manage and organize project drawings, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Create and log lead materials with release dates and Estimated Shipping Dates (ESD).
- Interpret plans and contract terms in collaboration with administrative staff.
- Review Extra Work tags with the Project Administrator and Project Manager.
- File for permits as needed, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Reconcile billings monthly, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2+ years experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry, preferably within the electrical industry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of construction processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction plans and contract documents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
Competitive Pay:
$30 - $40 per hour

Full - Time
