About

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Superintendents/Foreman to assist with the schedule and procurement of job materials.
  • Review submittals and create and log Request for Information (RFI) documents. Track all RFIs and follow up on a weekly basis.
  • Assist the Project Manager in tracking project costs and maintaining cost reports.
  • Generate and process billings for owners and subcontractors.
  • Track change orders and ensure proper documentation and implementation.
  • Support the Project Manager in coordinating material deliveries to the project site.
  • Assist in overall project coordination and communication with stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all field safety compliance requirements have been submitted and are being followed.
  • Manage and organize project drawings, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Create and log lead materials with release dates and Estimated Shipping Dates (ESD).
  • Interpret plans and contract terms in collaboration with administrative staff.
  • Review Extra Work tags with the Project Administrator and Project Manager.
  • File for permits as needed, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Reconcile billings monthly, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry, preferably within the electrical industry.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction plans and contract documents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.

Competitive Pay:

$30 - $40 per hour

Schedule:

Full - Time

Monday – Friday
