Children's Learning Center is seeking to hire a flexible, passionate, and reliable Full Time Teachers to support the children we serve ages 0 - 5 years old. This role supports children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through responsive caregiving, intentional interactions, and adherence to all licensing and program regulations.

Caregiving & Supervision

  • Provide consistent, warm, and responsive care to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
  • Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being.
  • Follow safe sleep practices and diapering/toileting procedures.
  • Feed children according to schedules and dietary needs.
  • Maintain appropriate child-to-teacher ratios at all times.

Development & Learning

  • Support developmental milestones through play-based, age-appropriate activities.
  • Observe and document children's development and daily activities as required.
  • Implement routines that promote self-help skills and independence.
  • Provide individualized care based on each child's needs and temperament.

Health, Safety & Hygiene

  • Follow all health and safety policies, including sanitation and illness procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
  • Accurately complete daily logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
  • Report any health, safety, or developmental concerns to administration promptly.
  • Perform diaper changes/ assist with toileting routine as needed dependent on age and developmental level or children.

Family Communication

  • Communicate daily with families regarding their child's care, routines, and progress in person and via app.
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with families.
  • Maintain confidentiality of children and family information.

Team & Professional Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with co-teachers, support staff and management.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
  • Follow all center policies, procedures, and licensing regulations.
  • Maintain required certifications (CPR/First Aid, annual training hours, etc.).
  • Assist with data entry in various applications used for parent communication and CACFP compliance.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Must be willing to work towards Child Development Associates.
  • Experience working with children in early education environment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and care for young children (up to 40 lbs).
  • Basic knowledge of child development and safe caregiving practices.

Preferred:

  • CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, Associates or Bachelors.
  • Previous experience in a licensed childcare or early learning setting.
  • Knowledge of state licensing regulations and best practices.

Typical Job Expectations/ Requirements Include

  • Completing initial state mandated trainings, annual trainings and trauma informed trainings
  • CPR and First Aid training
  • FBI and DCF background checks
  • Health Assessment and TB Test
  • Creating and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans
  • Guiding and scaffolding children
  • Creating a safe, clean, nurturing environment for children to learn & grow
  • Parent communication both in person and via Procare Connect app
  • Daily classroom cleaning and organization
  • Diaper changes/ potty training
  • Collaborating and communicating with management and teachers in an effective, clear and positive way
  • Other tasks as designated
