Overall Responsibility
The Maintenance Technician is responsible to keep all the equipment and the facility in working order. The Maintenance Technician must keep current with all preventative maintenance, maintain a spare parts level, perform repairs as needed and work with equipment service representatives as required.
Core Job Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
· Repairing all equipment to original performance standards and specifications in a timely manner
· Keeping all equipment in good working order
· Working with equipment suppliers' service representatives as required
· Follow all GMPs, OSHA safety guidelines, and FDA regulations regarding food service
· Communicate needs for spare parts as outlined in the spare parts inventory
· Identify equipment with poor performance history to the Maintenance Personager
· Maintain equipment so it can be operated in a safe manner
· Communicate safety and sanitation issues to Safety and Sanitation Leads as well as area leads, Production Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Personager
· Review maintenance requests with the Maintenance Personager
· Ensure maintenance work area is clean, sanitary, and well organized
· Instruct appropriate team leads in the proper handling of equipment to minimize damage
· Report to work on time, in a clean/complete uniform and maintain good personal hygiene
· Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
· Strictly adhere to and confer all company policies and procedures as outlined in the policy manual
· Report to the Maintenance Personager
Minimum Qualifications
Requirements
· Industrial Electrical, Control and PLC trouble shooting skills required
· Experience with conveyor maintenance, electrical, welding parts, and some plumbing
· General facility maintenance skills
· Works well in a team environment
· Minimum of 5-year troubleshooting experience in a food manufacturing environment with proven skills in mechanical and electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems
· Ability to design, fabricate, and upgrade equipment
· Reads and interprets electrical schematics, diagrams, technical service bulletins and manuals
· Knowledge of building codes and FDA / OSHA regulations regarding food service
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent
· Industrial Electrical troubleshooting skills including 480V 3ph and control circuits
· PLC trouble shooting and repair
· Self-motivated
· Able to read and write in English
