This person will primarily work in the warehouse but will serve as a backup driver for local routes if the situation is needed. Job Description:
Receive material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
Verify the quantities and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list.
Examine incoming shipments, appropriately report/record any discrepancies.
Enter quantities received against the purchase order in the computer system and print back orders and inventory stock put away list.
Assemble and fill orders to be shipped to customers.
Prepare shipping documentation.
Review orders to determine if they were picked correctly.
Safely and accurately cut designated lengths of wire.
Perform requirements necessary to lift and move inventory as well as load and unload trucks.
Professionally represent the company while interacting with customers.
Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment while following all Company safety procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, including offering information and answering questions.
May be a backup driver to safely drive van to transport materials within specified area; verify loads against shipping papers; obtain signed receipts for material delivered.
Determine best route for effective delivery of products that will satisfy customers' expectations of timely delivery; record delivery information; inspect vehicle equipment and supplies as required and immediately report any deficiencies to ensure safe operation.
Knowledge of the procedures for securing the type of cargo in the motor vehicle being driven.
Job Requirements:
High School Degree or GED required.
Possess or ability to acquire a chauffeur's license.
1-3 years of warehouse experience preferred.
