Lafayette Country Club is seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This leadership position supports the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations while helping to deliver high-quality food and exceptional service to our members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations and food preparation
  • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and recipe execution
  • Support food cost controls, inventory management, and ordering
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health department standards
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff and assist with scheduling and evaluations
  • Help develop and maintain menu items and food concepts
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure safe work practices

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in culinary arts or related field, or 2–3 years of relevant culinary experience
  • Previous Sous Chef or kitchen leadership experience preferred
  • Food Safety and Sanitation certification
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Regular and reliable attendance required
