Lafayette Country Club is seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This leadership position supports the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations while helping to deliver high-quality food and exceptional service to our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations and food preparation
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and recipe execution
- Support food cost controls, inventory management, and ordering
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health department standards
- Train and supervise kitchen staff and assist with scheduling and evaluations
- Help develop and maintain menu items and food concepts
- Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure safe work practices
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in culinary arts or related field, or 2–3 years of relevant culinary experience
- Previous Sous Chef or kitchen leadership experience preferred
- Food Safety and Sanitation certification
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Regular and reliable attendance required
