Are you an experienced Forklift Operator seeking a rewarding role in Grand Rapids, Michigan? Our logistics company is expanding, and we need skilled operators like you to manage the movement of goods within our facility. This position is critical for maintaining the efficiency and safety of our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to transport, stack, and load materials, ensuring that inventory is managed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement of goods.
- Transport items to and from storage locations, production areas, and shipping docks.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to logistics and material handling.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with demonstrable experience.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts safely.
- Experience with manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices and protocols.
- Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to maintaining a safe work area.
