Brief Description
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor / Team Leader oversees facility maintenance and development across assigned locations while championing a high level of customer service and operational excellence. This role supports the company's brand promise by ensuring safe, reliable, and high-quality facilities. The Supervisor / Team Leader will lead maintenance initiatives, manage people and vendors, and execute projects during production downtime to minimize business impact.

Core Responsibilities Of Facilities Maintenance Supervisor / Team Leader

  • Champion Reliability across People, Process, and Product
  • Relentlessly communicate and enforce safety and quality standards
  • Hire, develop, and retain personnel aligned with the future needs of the business
  • Lead initiatives that improve employee safety, environmental conditions, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Maintain systems for remote monitoring of facilities and proactively implement repairs
  • Promptly communicate issues impacting safety, quality, or delivery to appropriate stakeholders
  • Proactively facilitate audits and promote a risk-based thinking culture
  • Develop annual budgets and manage expense line items to achieve favorable results
  • Develop and motivate suppliers and contractors to deliver high-quality work at competitive costs
  • Drive timely closure of corrective and preventive actions
  • Lead maintenance projects during production downtime to minimize operational disruption

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or Construction Management (preferred) and/or a minimum of 3 years of related work experience
  • Experience managing contractors, vendors, and supporting labor in a large facility environment
  • Proven leadership experience managing a small team and working cross-functionally
  • General construction knowledge, including electrical, structural, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Kentucky General Contractor's License and familiarity with industrial building codes (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Manufacturing Business Systems (e.g., MTMS)
  • Experience with Labor Management Systems
  • Working knowledge of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing systems and techniques
