Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient evaluations, including history, physical exams, and assessment of chronic pain conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and lab results
  • Perform medication management, including monitoring for efficacy and safety
  • Assist with and/or perform in-office procedures (trigger point injections, joint injections, etc., depending on training and licensure)
  • Educate patients on pain management strategies, medications, procedures, and lifestyle modifications
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to overall patient care planning
  • Follow all regulatory guidelines, including controlled substance monitoring and compliance requirements
  • Provide ongoing patient follow-up to assess progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant Program
  • Active NP or PA license in FL
  • National board certification (FNP, ANP, AGNP, or equivalent)
  • Experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, or primary care preferred
  • Strong understanding of chronic pain conditions and appropriate treatment modalities
  • Familiarity with controlled substance prescribing protocols and state regulations
  • Proficiency with EHR systems
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and patient education skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
