Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer focused Leasing Agent to join our apartment community's on-site management team. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and enthusiastic about providing exceptional service to current and prospective residents. This role plays a key part in maximizing occupancy, maintaining positive resident relations, and supporting the daily operations of the leasing office.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Sales
- Greet, tour, and assist prospective residents in finding the right apartment home.
- Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, online inquiries, and walk-ins.
- Conduct property tours, explain community features, and highlight amenities.
- Accurately complete leasing applications, lease agreements, and all supporting documents.
- Follow up consistently with prospects to secure leases and achieve occupancy goals.
Resident Relations
- Provide excellent customer service to current residents.
- Assist with resident concerns, maintenance requests, and general inquiries.
- Participate in resident retention activities and community events.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain organized leasing files and accurate data entry in property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, or similar).
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly leasing reports as requested by management.
- Process applications, verify qualifications, and prepare move-in packages.
- Ensure the office, model units, and amenity areas are clean, inviting, and ready for tours.
Marketing & Outreach
- Assist in creating and managing online listings, social media posts, and marketing materials.
- Support outreach efforts to local businesses and community organizations.
- Monitor market conditions to help maintain competitive pricing and occupancy.
Qualifications
- Previous leasing, sales, or customer service experience preferred (but will train the right person)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency: experience with property management software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Weekend availability required
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
- Potential bonuses based on leasing performance (if applicable)
