We're looking for a Director – Roll-off Services
Position Summary:
The Director of Roll-off Services will serve as the primary leader of our roll-off and waste disposal division, overseeing daily operations, managing a team of drivers and support staff, ensuring compliance and safety, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role is both strategic and hands-on, with responsibility for operational performance, employee development, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Roll-off division, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching through CRO.
- Ensure efficient use of drivers, trucks, and equipment to maximize productivity.
- Monitor service quality and timeliness to meet customer expectations.
- Oversee ordering of supplies, tools, and equipment needed for the division.
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, coach, and support the Roll-off team (drivers, helpers, and dispatch staff).
- Partner with HR on recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and customer service.
Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with contractors and site supervisors to ensure services are delivered on schedule.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
- Monitor and report incidents, accidents, and equipment issues.
Financial & Growth
- Track division performance (labor costs, equipment usage, overtime, etc.).
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
- Support business development by ensuring operational readiness for new contracts.
Job Requirements
- 3–5+ years of operations or management experience in sanitation, construction, transportation, or related industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to coach and develop teams.
- Knowledge of DOT and OSHA compliance standards.
- Proven ability to manage logistics, scheduling, and dispatch operations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to manage client relationships.
- Proficiency in operational tracking, reporting, and use of dispatching systems.
- Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not mandatory.
Pay: $70, $85,000.00 per year
