Administrative Assistant / Dental Administrator

Location: Red Deer

Are you an organized, friendly, and detail-oriented professional who loves helping people? Our progressive, paperless dental practice in Red Deer is looking for a Dental Administrator to join our growing team

We have high standards of care for both our patients and our employees. We are a modern practice offering a variety of procedures, including implant placement and soft tissue surgery, and we're looking for a team player who is enthusiastic about the ever‑evolving field of dentistry.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a key role in creating a warm, welcoming experience while keeping our front office running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations to ensure a welcoming, professional atmosphere
  • Schedule and confirm appointments; manage cancellations and rescheduling as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records using our electronic, paperless dental records system
  • Process patient intake forms and verify insurance information
  • Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to the appropriate team member
  • Assist with billing and payment processing, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Collaborate closely with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception and waiting areas

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist / Dental Administrator is preferred
  • Familiarity with dental terminology and administrative procedures in a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency with electronic dental records systems is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with phone systems and front desk operations in a healthcare environment is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
