We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced quick service food service environment. Ideal for candidates from high volume fast food or casual fine dining / pub environments. Our menu is 80% hold and serve, 20% cook to order.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food preparation and presentation. The Kitchen Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring operational excellence across all facets of the restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to maximize profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling procedures.
  • Monitor daily restaurant operations to maintain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to uphold service excellence.
  • Conduct interviews for potential new hires and participate in staff scheduling.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Skills

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or food industry leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety protocols.
  • Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management capabilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff members.
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations including inventory control, ordering, and cost management.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation regulations.
  • Previous hotel or hospitality industry experience is a plus, as well as barista or serving experience in hospitality settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a vibrant team while ensuring operational excellence in a thriving culinary environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
