Job Summary:
Our Columbus, Ohio distribution center is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to enhance our warehouse operations. As a Forklift Operator, you will be essential in moving materials safely and efficiently, supporting our overall logistics framework. This role demands precision, a keen eye for safety, and proficiency in operating forklifts.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
  • Retrieve products from storage areas for order fulfillment.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts.
  • Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Assist with inventory counts and verification.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety.
  • Work effectively with other team members to meet operational demands.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and best practices in logistics.
  • Must wear all mandated PPE, including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and high-visibility apparel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to maintaining a secure and hazard-free workplace.
