Reporting to the Plant Manager you will supervise a multidisciplinary team to ensure the efficient execution of fire stove production and the achievement of objectives within the manufacturing plant.
Main Responsibilities
Coordination and Oversight of Manufacturing Activities
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the various production lines within the facility. (task planning, performance monitoring, feedback, troubleshooting etc.).
- Organize, monitor, and prioritize tasks to meet daily production goals
- Evaluate production lines to ensure optimum efficiency
- Ensure the flow of raw materials and other resources are readily available
- Participate in production meetings (DMS) and collaborate with other departments to resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to the resolution of mechanical manufacturing issues.
- Support the implementation of new production projects and promote continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards within the facility
- Support Plant Manager in his daily work and projects
Supervision of Personnel
- Supervise staff, organize and monitor workflow along with providing technical support, including troubleshooting machining and assembly issues on equipment when needed.
- Assess employee competencies and complete performance evaluations for production staff.
- Identify development needs and ensure employees receive appropriate training and coaching.
- Ensure employees understand and comply with company policies (quality, health & safety, HR, etc.).
- Verify that all work meets applicable standards and specifications and ensure the quality of the product.
- Motivate, engage, and support employees.
- Team management and coaching, ability to provide constructive feedback.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Knowledge of production processes, machinery and equipment
- Solid understanding of ERP systems and the ability to utilize them for inventory, production planning and data analysis.
- Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing procedures and processes and skill in applying manufacturing team concepts
- Leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates.
Work Schedule
- 4 days a week (10 hours per day)
- 7:30 to 5:30 Monday to Thursday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68, $91,900.00 per year
