About

Reporting to the Plant Manager you will supervise a multidisciplinary team to ensure the efficient execution of fire stove production and the achievement of objectives within the manufacturing plant.

Main Responsibilities

Coordination and Oversight of Manufacturing Activities

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the various production lines within the facility. (task planning, performance monitoring, feedback, troubleshooting etc.).
  • Organize, monitor, and prioritize tasks to meet daily production goals
  • Evaluate production lines to ensure optimum efficiency
  • Ensure the flow of raw materials and other resources are readily available
  • Participate in production meetings (DMS) and collaborate with other departments to resolve technical issues.
  • Contribute to the resolution of mechanical manufacturing issues.
  • Support the implementation of new production projects and promote continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards within the facility
  • Support Plant Manager in his daily work and projects

Supervision of Personnel

  • Supervise staff, organize and monitor workflow along with providing technical support, including troubleshooting machining and assembly issues on equipment when needed.
  • Assess employee competencies and complete performance evaluations for production staff.
  • Identify development needs and ensure employees receive appropriate training and coaching.
  • Ensure employees understand and comply with company policies (quality, health & safety, HR, etc.).
  • Verify that all work meets applicable standards and specifications and ensure the quality of the product.
  • Motivate, engage, and support employees.
  • Team management and coaching, ability to provide constructive feedback.

Required Skills

  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Knowledge of production processes, machinery and equipment
  • Solid understanding of ERP systems and the ability to utilize them for inventory, production planning and data analysis.
  • Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing procedures and processes and skill in applying manufacturing team concepts
  • Leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates.

Work Schedule

  • 4 days a week (10 hours per day)
  • 7:30 to 5:30 Monday to Thursday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68, $91,900.00 per year
