Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent customer relations skills, and experience in a fast-paced dining environment. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
- Follow proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols to ensure safety standards are upheld
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Experience with food handling, food preparation, and general hospitality operations preferred
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights; previous host/host or bussing experience is advantageous
