Required Qualifications
5+ years HVAC installation or mechanical trades experience.
Previous leadership or crew-lead role preferred.
Strong knowledge of mechanical codes and industry standards.
Ability to resolve onsite technical issues quickly and independently.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
3+ years of ductwork installation experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ductless/VRF, central heat pumps, and hybrid systems.
Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and load calculations.
Familiarity with job management software (ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, or similar).
OSHA 10/30 certification.
Refrigeration Technician License (state-specific where applicable).
Working Conditions
Majority of work performed onsite with daily travel between project locations.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in attics, basements, and outdoor environments.
Hours may extend beyond standard workweek based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Coordination
Lead daily onsite operations for assigned projects: scheduling crews, managing resources, and tracking progress.
Ensure all HVAC systems are installed per plans, mechanical code, and manufacturer instructions.
Perform Manual D calculations and plan installations.
Conduct job walks, progress inspections, and final quality checks prior to handoff.
Confirm that required paperwork is submitted and satisfied.
Communication & Customer Experience
Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer throughout the project.
Provide timely updates, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Coordinate with sales, engineering, and office teams to clarify scope and resolve issues quickly.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce OSHA standards and company safety protocols on every job site.
Maintain cleanliness and professionalism on all projects.
Verify proper disposal and environmental compliance (refrigerant, oil tanks, packaging, etc.).
Leadership & Team Development
Direct and support field crews to meet productivity and quality targets.
Coach technicians on best practices and technical installation standards.
Help onboard new hires and participate in performance reviews.
Documentation & Reporting
Complete job documentation including photos, job logs, material tracking, and commissioning forms.
Review equipment startup results and verify proper operation before job completion.
Participate in weekly production meetings and project turnover sessions.
