Join our thriving logistics operation in Huntsville, Alabama, as a Picker/Packer! This position is crucial for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for the entire picking and packing process, from locating items within the warehouse to preparing them for shipment. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to efficiency are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order specifications.
- Package products using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Operate manual and powered pallet jacks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory checks and cycle counts.
- Report any damaged or missing items to supervision immediately.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a picker or packer is advantageous.
- Capability to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the correct use of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
