Are you a certified and experienced Forklift Operator looking for a stable opportunity in Indianapolis, Indiana? Our fast-paced logistics center is seeking skilled individuals to operate forklifts safely and efficiently, moving materials within our warehouse. This role is vital to our operations, ensuring the smooth handling of goods from receiving to shipping. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, a keen awareness of warehouse Safety protocols, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, and stacking inventory. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move, stack, and stage inventory within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- This role involves some manual Lifting and maneuvering of materials, up to 40 lbs.
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA and company Safety regulations.
- Support overall logistics operations through efficient material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Understanding of general logistics principles.
