This role is vital to our operations, ensuring the smooth handling of goods from receiving to shipping. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, a keen awareness of warehouse Safety protocols, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, and stacking inventory. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move, stack, and stage inventory within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- This role involves some manual Lifting and maneuvering of materials, up to 40 lbs.
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA and company Safety regulations.
- Support overall logistics operations through efficient material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Understanding of general logistics principles.
