Sweet Legacy Hospitality Group is seeking a highly capable, hands-on General Manager to lead Sweet Lorraine's Jazz Club, a live-music–driven restaurant and bar rooted in New Orleans culture, hospitality, and community.
This role requires a proven operator with strong financial discipline, comfort managing entertainment programming, and the ability to drive revenue through private events, parties, and premium guest experiences. The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of daily operations, guest satisfaction, team leadership, and profitability.
Required Experience & SkillsMinimum 4+ years of restaurant experience, with at least 2 years as a General Manager or senior manager
Proven experience with Toast POS
Working proficiency in MarginEdge (inventory, invoices, COGS, reporting)
Working proficiency in BarMatrix (bar costing, pricing, and recipe control)
Strong understanding of restaurant financials (P&Ls, labor, food & beverage costs)
Demonstrated success managing live entertainment venues or high-volume nightlife-driven restaurants
Experience creating, pricing, and selling private party and event packages
Strong leadership, communication, and staff-development skills
Ability to manage stress, solve problems quickly, and lead with professionalism
Genuine passion for hospitality, music, food, and guest experience
ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)
Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
Oversee all front-of-house and day-to-day restaurant operations
Lead hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management of staff
Actively manage the floor during service and live music events
Plan, manage, and execute weekly entertainment scheduling in coordination with ownership and performers
Oversee artist load-ins, show flow, and FOH service during performances
Develop, price, and sell private event and party packages (birthdays, corporate events, buyouts, special programming)
Manage and grow revenue from private parties, buyouts, and special events
Ensure smooth execution of private events from booking through close-out
Achieve weekly and monthly financial targets (sales, labor, bar cost, food cost)
Use Toast, MarginEdge, and BarMatrix to monitor performance and control costs
Conduct pre-shift meetings and ongoing staff training
Maintain excellent communication with staff, entertainers, and ownership
Ensure cleanliness, organization, and strong guest-facing presentation at all times
Uphold food safety standards and company policies
Complete all reporting, schedules, and administrative duties accurately and on time
