This role is fundamental to our supply chain, involving the handling of goods from receipt through to dispatch. Key responsibilities include operating machinery, managing inventory, and ensuring the safety and organization of the warehouse. The position requires physical stamina, including regular Lifting of products and materials. Upholding strict safety standards and consistently wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are non-negotiable. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory efficiently.
- Process orders accurately by picking, packing, and staging items for shipment.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring the safe transit of goods.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, according to safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate inventory data through system updates and physical checks.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety rules and regulations.
- Utilize and maintain all required PPE throughout the shift.
- Participate in inventory management tasks, such as cycle counting.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution center is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle substantial Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and basic inventory control principles.
- Excellent focus on detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Capability to perform well in a fast-paced, physically demanding role.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and correct PPE usage.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
