Job Summary:
Join our dynamic logistics team in Columbus, Ohio, as a Material Handler! We are seeking a motivated and physically fit individual to support the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting materials, ensuring the smooth flow of operations. This role is essential for our supply chain efficiency and requires a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. You will be handling a variety of materials, contributing directly to our logistics success.
Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using appropriate equipment.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Operate manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Stack and organize materials to ensure proper storage and efficient use of space.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock placement as directed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Adhere to all company policies regarding material handling and logistics.
  • Perform tasks involving frequent Lifting and moving of heavy objects, following safe Lifting techniques.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.
  • Inspect equipment before use and report any damage or malfunction immediately.
  • Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage and loss.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent and heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
  • Proficiency in operating manual pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Good stamina and physical fitness.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
