We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all outbound shipments are accurately processed, documented, and prepared for timely delivery. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. You will be responsible for verifying order details, preparing shipping labels, packaging items securely, and coordinating with carriers. A solid understanding of shipping procedures and warehouse operations is essential. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all employees are required to adhere to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Verify shipment contents against order details.
- Generate and apply shipping labels and documentation.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Communicate effectively with shipping carriers and internal departments.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or a warehouse environment preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and logistics processes.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate to heavy Lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
