 As a Veterinary Claims Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of pet healthcare by applying your veterinary knowledge to the assessment of pet insurance claims. You'll ensure claims are managed fairly, consistently, and in line with policy guidelines, while supporting both internal teams and external partners with technical advice.

What You'll Do

  • Assess and manage standard and GapOnly claims from lodgement through to completion
  • Interpret medical records and apply clinical judgement to insurance scenarios
  • Communicate medical concepts clearly to colleagues, customers, and veterinary partners
  • Provide technical advice and support to internal teams and external veterinary partners
  • Review and reassess claims to ensure fair and defensible outcomes
  • Identify trends and escalate insights to improve product and service delivery
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence

    •  What You'll Bring

  • Formal qualification in Veterinary Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in the veterinary field (small animals)
  • Foundational understanding of insurance claims processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask under pressure
  • Curiosity, critical thinking, and a drive for continuous improvement
  • Reliability, adaptability, and a collaborative approach
