Join our fast-paced **logistics** operation as a Picker/Packer in Chicago, Illinois! We are looking for energetic and reliable individuals to accurately pick and pack orders for shipment. This role is the backbone of our order fulfillment process, ensuring our customers receive their products accurately and on time. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, using scanning equipment, and preparing items for shipment. A commitment to **safety** and attention to detail are paramount in this position. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Inspect products for damages and ensure quality before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently using appropriate materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment according to carrier guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to **safety** standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Adhere to all company policies, including **PPE** requirements and **lifting** guidelines.
- Meet or exceed productivity targets for picking and packing.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall **logistics** flow.
- Conduct basic quality checks on products being picked and packed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or picking/packing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order details and product information.
- Proficiency with scanning equipment is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of **lifting** up to 40 pounds repetitively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to follow **safety** procedures and wear required **PPE**.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Understanding of basic **logistics** principles.
