We are seeking a skilled and experienced culinary professional to join our team as a Sous Chef. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about food, teamwork, and delivering exceptional customer service.
As a key member of the culinary team, you will work closely with our Executive Chef to prepare and cook high-quality dishes, coordinate the activities of cooks, and supervise hourly food service associates.
- Cook and prepare food according to approved recipes and production standards.
- Supervise and train hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, counseling, and participating in performance reviews.
- Maintain proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
- Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, and keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
- Interact with customers to resolve complaints and relay relevant information to supervisors.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
