Assist in the prevention, assessment, and management of acute and chronic player injuries Provide day-to-day treatment and rehabilitation services, including therapeutic modalities and recovery protocols Support on-ice medical coverage during practices and games, including emergency response as needed Travel with the team to provide continuous care and ensure continuity of treatment plans Collaborate with the Head Athletic Trainer, team physicians, and performance staff on individualized player care plans Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical documentation in compliance with NHL and NHLPA standards Prepare and maintain treatment areas, equipment, and medical supplies Contribute to injury prevention programming, including conditioning, recovery, and wellness initiatives Ensure adherence to league protocols, health and safety standards, and best practices in sports medicine
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a related field Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) with current licensure as required Current CPR/BLS certification required Eligible for PA and NJ athletic training licensure Advanced manual or instrument-assisted therapy certifications preferred Strong knowledge of sports injury evaluation, rehabilitation techniques, and therapeutic modalities Ability to work in a high-performance, team-oriented professional sports environment Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills High level of discretion and ability to manage confidential medical information
Work Environment & Expectations
Requires extensive travel and non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays High-intensity, fast-paced environment supporting professional athletes Direct collaboration with coaches, medical staff, and performance personnel

Skills Athletic Training, Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation Compensation This job can be performed in New Jersey with a Pay Range of $59,512.10 - $89,268.16. Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
