How You’ll Make an Impact
Develop relationships with property managers and residents to promote Spectrum products and services
Achieve monthly sales goals by generating new leads and increasing sales volume in assigned MDU properties
Engage customers through door‑to‑door visits, lobby events, and consistent follow‑up
Assist existing customers by introducing additional services to generate incremental revenue
Resolve customer concerns according to Spectrum policies, ensuring issues are followed through to completion
Maintain awareness of competitor activity and share market insights with management
Attend sales meetings and training sessions to strengthen your knowledge and skills
Accurately complete sales documentation and handle customer funds in alignment with company guidelines
Working Conditions
Spends approximately 80% of time in outside environment for extended periods of time in any season with potential exposure to inclement weather
Must be able to lift 10-20 pounds for 20‑30 feet (digital boxes, etc.)
Exposure to moderate noise levels
Must be able to work evenings and weekends
Variable hours: may include weekends, holidays, and split days off
Walking door to door for extensive periods through local communities
Required Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
1+ years of experience in sales or customer service.
Skills:
Knowledge of cold call sales skills, persuasion, and clear communication skills; ability to travel (including during inclement weather) to and from assigned territories and company facilities using a reliable personal vehicle; ability to work outside for extended periods in any season; familiarity with computer operating systems, a myriad of consumer and commercial communications devices (e.g., PDAs, smartphones, routers, modems, converters, and wireless devices), and computer software applications; valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record within company required standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience:
2+ years of sales or relevant work experience.
Skills:
Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on data networking fundamentals; knowledge of cable or telecommunications services; experience with consumer education of products and services; success in a previous sales position, prospecting or cold calling; direct sales experience is preferred.
Compensation The base pay for this position generally is between $33,200.00 and $66,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive‑based compensation such as bonuses. In addition, this position has a commission earnings target starting at $65,000.
