Job Overview Search Solution Group is seeking a Contract Business Analyst on behalf of our client, an economic development partnership entity.
The Contract Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting business operations, process improvement initiatives, and CRM system optimization. This position will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to analyze workflows, document business processes, support system enhancements, and ensure data integrity within complex database environments. The ideal candidate is a technically minded business analyst with strong CRM experience who can bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions while helping streamline processes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for workflow improvements and operational efficiencies. Document, update, and maintain detailed business process maps, workflows, and standard operating procedures. Partner with internal stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing use of CRM platforms, including systems similar to Salesforce and SmartSimple. Evaluate and recommend process enhancements to improve system functionality and user experience. Assist with data management, reporting, and maintenance of complex database systems, including grants management platforms. Collaborate with technical teams and business users to troubleshoot system issues and implement solutions. Develop and maintain business documentation, requirements specifications, and process improvement recommendations. Conduct system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing as needed. Provide ongoing support for organizational initiatives requiring business analysis and workflow development. Communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders. Perform additional business analysis and project support duties as assigned. Requirements Include
Education:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field. Experience:
Experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role. Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, SmartSimple, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, or similar systems. Experience supporting complex database systems, grants management systems, or enterprise business applications. Experience gathering requirements, documenting workflows, and supporting process improvement initiatives. Experience working in small to mid-sized organizations where cross-functional collaboration is required. Skills:
Business process analysis and workflow documentation. Requirements gathering and stakeholder management. CRM administration and system optimization. Data analysis and reporting. Technical documentation and process mapping. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Certifications:
Business Analysis certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA are a plus but not required. Salesforce, CRM, or related platform certifications are beneficial. Knowledge:
CRM platforms and customer relationship management best practices. Business process improvement methodologies. Database systems and data management principles. Grants management systems and reporting processes preferred. Software implementation and user adoption practices. Requirements documentation and systems analysis methodologies. Key Competencies
