Project Manager II, Information Technology

Our client is a leading owner, operator, and developer of premier retail and mixed-use destinations across the United States. They are investing heavily in technology initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and support business growth. The IT organization is seeking a Project Manager II to lead a variety of technology initiatives across the enterprise, including infrastructure, security, networking, energy management, and business application projects. This individual will serve as a key liaison between IT and the broader business, helping drive projects from conception through successful delivery while building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, proactive project manager who enjoys working independently, driving results, and collaborating with both technical teams and business leaders.

Position Summary

The Project Manager II is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering multiple IT projects simultaneously while ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills to successfully guide projects from initiation through completion. The ideal candidate is friendly and approachable while maintaining a strong sense of accountability and urgency. They can quickly build trust with stakeholders, navigate competing priorities, and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects involving infrastructure, networking, security systems, software solutions, and operational technology initiatives.
  • Partner with business leaders, vendors, and technical teams to gather requirements, establish priorities, and maintain project alignment.
  • Serve as the primary communication bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings, status updates, decision-making sessions, and executive communications.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, risk logs, budgets, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively identify risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
  • Lead change management activities to support successful adoption of new technologies and processes.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to maximize project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure third-party deliverables meet organizational expectations.
  • Track project budgets and provide regular financial updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation and reporting within Box and administer project tracking through Monday.com.
  • Support Energy Management System (EMS) projects by coordinating with facilities teams, vendors, and technical subject matter experts.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational technology standards, cybersecurity requirements, change management processes, and governance policies.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of professional project management experience leading technology-focused projects.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, and stakeholder communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization, including executives, business leaders, and technical teams.
  • Experience managing external vendors and service providers.
  • Experience using project management platforms such as Monday.com, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing IT infrastructure, networking, security camera, or hardware-related projects.
  • Experience supporting Energy Management Systems (EMS), building automation systems, facilities technology, or operational technology initiatives.
  • Familiarity with change management frameworks and organizational adoption strategies.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification preferred.
