Principal Software Engineer (React Native)
We're building the next generation of PepsiCo's mobile applications that power our business and deliver modern digital capabilities to our frontline employees. As a Principal Software Engineer (React Native), you'll lead design and development of high-performing mobile apps, mentor other engineers, and help bring new digital capabilities (including AI) to life. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll set the standard for mobile excellence at PepsiCo. Responsibilities
Lead the architecture and hands-on development of mobile apps using React Native Partner with product managers, UX designers, and cloud engineers to deliver global solutions Establish best practices for coding, testing, and deployment Mentor engineers and guide technical decision-making across the team Explore and adopt tools such as AI copilots and agents to streamline development and boost productivity. Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $106,400 - $178,100 Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field 8+ years in software engineering, with experience building large-scale mobile applications 3+ years hands-on with React Native (TypeScript/JavaScript) Strong knowledge of iOS/Android app development, APIs, and app store workflows Experience leading projects or mentoring teams Bonus: Experience with Salesforce, Azure, CI/CD pipelines, or consumer apps at scale Our Company will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other applicable laws, including but not limited to, San Francisco Police Code Sections 4901-4919, commonly referred to as the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance; and Chapter XVII, Article 9 of the Los Angeles Municipal Code, commonly referred to as the Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance.
