Collins Aerospace invites applications for a Senior Engineer, Software Engineering role located at Cedar Rapids, IA. This position focuses on software development for control and diagnostic systems in aerospace. Responsibilities Conduct and coordinate moderately complex tests for control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conduct multidisciplinary research to assist equipment designers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Analyze system capabilities and determine end‑user needs to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, and input data acquisition to ensure current and future business needs are met. Ensure hardware and software standards are met. Design and implement build procedures that support hardware and software product development. Develop software configuration standards for company‑wide use. Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or related role. Alternative: Master’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role. At least 3 years of experience in embedded software development and verification. At least 3 years of experience developing software using C, C++, Ada, or Python. At least 3 years of experience in HMI VAPS development and verification. At least 3 years of experience in the avionics industry. At least 3 years of DO‑178B/C development experience. Non‑US Person: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company immigration sponsorship now or in the future; no immigration sponsorship will be offered. Salary The salary range for this role is $86,800.00 to $165,200.00 USD per year.
