Job DescriptionAs a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and policy violations.
- Monitor access points, restricted areas, and public spaces while verifying credentials, observing activity, and reporting security-related concerns according to post orders.
- Carry authorized equipment in accordance with post requirements while maintaining a visible presence that may help to deter misconduct and support orderly operations throughout the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Have a 40 caliber endorsement.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
