Description:
Are you a Veterinary Assistant looking for a fast-paced, engaging environment that offers more variety and excitement than general practice without the demands of overnight emergency medicine?

At Pieper Veterinary Berlin Street located in Middletown, CT, we offer the best of both worlds. We are seeking compassionate, motivated Veterinary Assistants who are passionate about patient care, eager to expand their hands-on skills, and excited to be part of a collaborative, team-oriented culture.

This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced veterinary professionals in a supportive environment where your contributions are valued, your growth is encouraged, and your work truly makes an impact every day. In Urgent Care, no two days are the same you ll gain experience with a wide variety of cases while helping pets receive timely, high-quality care when they need it most.

At Pieper, our vision is simple: to make the community and the animals and people happier and healthier. If that mission resonates with you, we would love the opportunity to connect.

About You:
At Pieper, we believe veterinary medicine is a team sport, and we are looking for professionals who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Our ideal candidate is a strong communicator, a dependable teammate, and someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care.

You are confident balancing multiple priorities while maintaining compassion, efficiency, and attention to detail in every interaction. The ideal candidate is comfortable with patient restraint and handling, basic treatment and procedure preparation, and supporting Veterinary Technicians and doctors in a clinical setting. Experience in triage, obtaining patient histories, and assisting with diagnostics and treatments is a plus. You will also be responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, and creating a welcoming, professional experience from start to finish.

We value assistants who are proactive, engaged, and willing to contribute ideas and observations that help elevate patient care and strengthen the team. Your voice matters here, and your contributions can truly make a difference.

Compensation:
$19.00-$22.50 an hour depending on experience and education.

Anticipated Schedule:
