Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Checkpoint in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Job Schedule:

- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public while carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and document visitor, vendor, and contractor access in accordance with site protocols.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining awareness of restricted areas, screening incoming traffic, and reporting security-related concerns promptly.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, lobbies, and perimeter areas as assigned, noting any maintenance, life-related, and/or security-related issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card and unarmed guard card.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
