Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access screening activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas while maintaining an armed presence in accordance with assigned duties and site policies.
- Monitor entrances, screening areas, and restricted locations to help to deter unauthorized access, prohibited items, and/or disruptive behavior.
- Support public-facing operations by verifying identification, directing foot traffic, and communicating clearly with employees, visitors, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a DCJS license in Virginia only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
