The Quality Assurance Line Technician serves as a front-line steward of product quality and waste prevention, partnering closely with Production to ensure food safety, quality, and compliance are established and accomplished in every process, every day. The Quality Assurance (QA) Line Technician is responsible for monitoring and verifying product quality and food safety standards throughout production operations. This role ensures compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications by performing inspections, tests, and documentation on the production line. The QA Line Technician works closely with production staff to prevent, identify, report, and help correct any quality or safety issues, supporting continuous improvement and maintaining a diligent, safe, clean, and compliant work environment. This role requires strong judgment, calm communication, stick-to-it-iveness, and the confidence to act when standards are not being met. The QA Line Technician is an active contributor to safe, diligent, and continuously improving operations. Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required 1–2 years of experience in food manufacturing, quality, or production preferred Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, Preventive Controls, BRC (or SQF), or food safety systems strongly preferred Familiarity with low-acid and acidified canned foods regulations is a plus. Skills & Attributes Strong attention to detail with practical, real-world judgment Ability to communicate firmly, clearly, timely, and respectfully Comfortable making decisions and standing behind food safety standards Basic computer, documentation, math, and data entry skills Willingness to learn and complete required certifications, including Better Process Control School Physical & Work Environment Hands-on role requiring standing, walking, and light lifting throughout the shift Work performed in food manufacturing environments that will be hot, wet, and loud. Shift flexibility required, including extended hours during peak production periods Job Type: Full-time Work Schedule: This position typically follows the hours of the shift scheduled to work; however, working days may vary based on season. Typically, Monday through Friday. Very often Saturday. 12 hours Shifts may be required during busy times.
