Visiting Assistant Professor of Business Analytics
The Economics and Business Department at Ohio Wesleyan University invites applications for a visiting assistant professorship in Business Analytics starting in August 2026. This position supports the university's interdisciplinary Data Analytics program and reflects a collaborative partnership between Data Analytics and the Economics and Business Department. We seek an outstanding teacher committed to engaging undergraduates in the classroom and in related campus programming through the Woltemade Center and the Delaware Entrepreneurial Center.

Within this context, the department offers a vibrant interdisciplinary community with wide-ranging teaching and research interests, supported by faculty development and mentoring from the Smith Center for Faculty Excellence.
This position will join a college deeply committed to flexibility, interdisciplinarity, and inclusivity. Faculty have opportunities for mentoring, professional development, and collaboration across the Ohio Five and GLCA consortia.
Responsibilities:
* Teach six courses annually (3/3) in or adjacent to business analytics at the introductory, intermediate and advanced levels, potentially including data analytics, business operations, research methods, principles of marketing, and related topics reflecting both the candidate's expertise and the needs of the department and program. * Specifically teach two units of Introductory to Data Analytics, one in fall and one in spring semester. * Collaborate with colleagues in the Economics and Business department and the Data Analytics Program to advance a shared vision for extraordinary student outcomes and growth across supported programs. * Support department co-curricular groups and activities as appropriate, such as the Woltemade Economics and Business Fellows. * Assist in curriculum development, revision, and evaluation. * Play a key role in recruiting prospective students and enhancing existing campus programming.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Masters in Economics, Business Administration/DBA, Management Science, Marketing, Operations Management, or a closely related field * Potential for teaching excellence * Ability to create an environment that acknowledges, encourages and celebrates difference within the context of varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities, and cultural backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications:
* Ph.d. (or near completion) in Economics, Business Administration/DBA, Management Science, Marketing, Operations Management, or a closely related field * Experience teaching at the undergraduate level
Successful candidates are expected to pursue excellence in teaching, maintain a productive, ongoing professional development program, and contribute actively to the continued growth of the department and the university.

Include examples of outreach, advising, or program activities that have supported students whose pathways into the discipline may not follow a traditional trajectory.
