The Business Analyst serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, product management, operations, and technical teams. This role is responsible for analyzing recordkeeping workflows, documenting business requirements, writing detailed business logic specifications, and supporting the delivery of platform functionality and solutions that enhance recordkeeping, trading, and account administration systems. This role requires strong analytical and retirement industry knowledge/ recordkeeping experience, excellent documentation skills and is well-suited for someone who enjoys designing solutions for complex financial systems. Key Responsibilities Partner with product, business, operations, and technology teams to analyze, document, and prioritize business requirements for retirement recordkeeping and financial applications. Write detailed business specifications, business logic documents, workflow requirements, process flows for recordkeeping features and operational processes. Translate retirement plan administration needs into clear functional requirements that can be understood by product, engineering, QA, operations, and client-facing teams. Collaborate with developers, QA, and product owners to ensure platform functionality aligns with business rules, plan document requirements, and operational workflows. Conduct impact analysis for proposed changes to recordkeeping functionality, participant workflows, plan sponsor tools, TPA workflows, and service provider capabilities. Support end-to-end project delivery, from requirements to UAT and deployment. Drive documentation consistency and maintain traceability between business and technical requirements. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 5–7 years
of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Operations Analyst, or System Analyst, or similar role within recordkeeping, financial services or benefits related technology. Proven record creating business requirements documents, business logic specifications, process flows, data mapping, and UAT support materials. Skills & Knowledge Strong understanding of retirement recordkeeping operations, plan administration workflows, and financial transaction processing. Familiarity with plan-level and source-level rules, including eligibility, vesting, payroll, fees, notices, and reporting etc. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify edge cases, dependencies, operational impacts, and downstream system effects. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across product, operations, compliance, engineering, QA, and client-facing teams. Experience with Jira, Confluence, Lucid, or similar collaboration tools. Preferred Experience working for or with a retirement recordkeeper, TPA, payroll provider, custodian, benefits technology company, or retirement plan fintech. Familiarity with ERISA, SECURE 2.0, plan documents, participant notices, compliance testing concepts, and retirement plan operational controls. Experience supporting product development for a recordkeeping platform or financial services operating system. Working knowledge of data files, payroll feeds, transaction files, and recordkeeping integrations, without requiring deep technical ownership. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive base salary: $130,000 - $150,000 commensurate with experience and geographic market. Annual discretionary bonus and equity opportunities.
